Indian Army dedicates Sports Complex to Nandpur Village

SAMBA, July 12: Tiger Division of Jammu has made biggest sports complex in the Samba district under Operation Sadbhavna by the Indian Army.
Project was executed by 23 Sikh (Sherdil)/ 92 Infantry Brigade BD Bari.
Indian Army today dedicated the same to Nandpur Village in an impressive and well attended function.
Brig Deep Bhagat, Sena Medal Commander 92 Infantry Brigade was the chief guest on the occasion, while Colonel Jagjot Singh, Commanding Officer 23 Sikh and Anil Magotra, SSP, Samba were the guests of honour.
Rs 25 lakh Project includes Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Handball Court, Badminton Court, Boxing Ring, Two room Gymnasium, Table Tennis Hall and Physical Training Infrastructure, besides Gym equipment worth Rs 7 lakh.
Chief Guest invited local talent to inaugurate the project. Anvi Singh (11 years) District Cricket Player and Jasvinder Kaur and two boys of Nandpur School were given the honour to inaugurate the complex and accept gift from Indian Army.
The Project was handed over to Sports Committee jointly formed by Village Panchayat and Nandpur High School for further use and maintenance.
Col Jagjot Singh stated that the project was possible only with assistance of village people and Nandpur School.
