India bags 4 medals in karate with Ambedkar as coach

JAMMU, Apr 6: Indian National Karate team clinched four medals in US Open Karate Championship 2015.
Indian team won two gold, one silver and one bronze medals in Mix Team Kata, Senior Women Open Individual Kumite, Sub Junior Girls Kata and Men’s Individual Kata events at US Open Karate Championship, 2015 held at Las Vegas in USA.
The team participated under the leadership of Shihan Bharat Sharma, General Secretary, Karate Association of India (KAI) and J&K’s Ambedkar Gupta, 4th Dan Black Belt from WKF (World Karate Federation) and president, AKAJK (Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir) was the team coach.
Karate Association of India has lauded the efforts of the karatekas and the team coach for their splendid performance.
