JAMMU, Mar 8: Danesh Rana- IGP Armed Police today inaugurated the Inter-Battalion Sports Meet at Gulshan Ground, here today.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest emphasized among the participants that the sports meet is being conducted by J&K Police annually, so that we may get good talent for their induction in J&K Police Central Sports teams.
During the opening ceremony, the welcome speech was presented by Dushyant Sharma-SSP, Staff Officer (Sports) APHQ J&K, whereas Mohammad Sharief Chouhan-SSP, CO IRP 7th Bn presented vote of thanks.
About 1158 participants including 64 women and 12 Gazetted Officers of all Jammu Kashmir AP/IRP Battalions are taking part in 22 games which are recognized by All India Police Sports Control Board. The grand opening ceremony, followed by a March Past by colourful contingents of AP/IRP Battalions of J&K Police were witnessed by the audiences who were present there.
