HVR to lock horns with Sapience CC in finals

KATRA, Mar 19: Hill View Rajouri (HVR) will lock horns with Sapience Cricket Club Delhi in finals of the ongoing Katra Premier League, being played on at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Stadium, here on March 22.
The semi-final match which was played between HVR and Katra Cricket Club (KCC) wherein the former after winning the toss gave the target of 178 runs, while KCC bundled out at 128 runs.
The 2nd semi-final match was played between Shri Ram Cricket Club Jyotipuram and Sapience Cricket Club, Delhi wherein Sapience CC emerged winners. The Shri Ram Cricket Club Jyotipuram managed to score only 130 runs against 143 runs.
Rahul Kumar from HVR and Gaurav Kumar from Sapience CC were declared as man of the match of two semi-final matches.
While speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Wazir, president of Hotel and Restaurant Association Katra said that the cricket leagues have proved to be a big tool in searching the best talent in the field of Cricket and have promoted them to such a level that most of them have joined the National Cricket team of India.
About 32 teams participated in the championship for the last 25 days from all over India.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Katra Premiere League is one of the biggest premier leagues of India and the winner of the league will get Rs five lakh, while the runner-up team will be awarded with Rs 3 lakhs and man of series will be honoured with Rs 51000 cash prize.
The sponsors of the League including Ajay Kotwal, Ghansara Singh and Anil Kumar along with organisers including Sunil Dogra, Virender Kesar, Ravi Nag, Arun Sharma, Bharat Bhushan, Beli Ram Rana, Ramneek Nawada, Tinku Wazir, Rajesh Kumar, Ramesh Kumar and Rashid Rahi were present during the event.
