AKHNOOR, Aug 22: Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor defeated St Francis Higher Secondary School in a close contest by 3 points (8-5) and lifted the title trophy in Under-19 girls kho-kho tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, here.
HSS Akhnoor also won the volleyball U-19 girls title, while HSS Narriwala claimed Under-19 girls kabaddi title.
The tournament in which 120 students drawn from ten school zones of Chowki Choura and Akhnoor took part, was held under the supervision of Sher Singh, zonal physical education officer, Akhnoor.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu, Tirath Ram visited the venue to encourage the budding players.
