POUNI, May 2: The Zonal Level Inter-School tournament in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Wrestling, Under-14 and Under-17 boys, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Govt HSS Pouni, witnessed some tough contests, here today.
The final match of Volleyball Under-14 boys was won by HS Dadoa, defeating HS Laiter in a close contest, while in Under-17 boys HSS Pouni defeated HSS Barakh.
HSS Barakh defeated MS Theol in Kabaddi boys, while HS Ransoo outplayed HSS Barakh in Kabaddi boys under the age group of 14 and 17 years respectively.
In Kho-kho, under 14-boys, MS Jerri defeated MS Kanha by 2 points and under 17 -boys HSS Barakh defeated HS Ransoo.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Tour Kumar, Saroj Kumar, Romesh Chander, Ajay , Deep Singh and Harinder Singh.
The Tournament is being held under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports, J&K, Navin Agarwal and matches are being held under the overall supervision of Dr S S Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi.
