HP thrashes J&K by 117 runs

GUWAHATI, Oct 14: Himachal Pradesh thrashed Jammu and Kashmir by a big margin of 117 runs in the ongoing Vinoo Mankad Under-19 Trophy at Judges Field, Guwahati today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, HP scored a good total of 298 runs. Opener Kushal Pal and skipper Harsh Jamwal scored 75 and 74 runs respectively. Raghav Angra also contributed valuable 39 runs to the total. Basit Bashir was the most successful bowler from J&K, who took 4 wickets by conceding 52 runs in 10 overs, while all other bowlers failed to impress.
In reply, Jammu and Kashmir bundled out for 181 runs in 42.2 overs, thus lost the match by 117 runs. Dikshant Kundal and Kanhaiya Wadhawan scored 64 and 47 runs respectively. All other batsmen failed to impress.
