JAMMU, Dec 20: Himachal Pradesh were in commanding position against Jammu and Kashmir in the match of Vijay Merchant Under-16 Boys Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first Himachal Pradesh were bundled out for 144 runs, with Purab J Singh and SR Garg contributing 29 and 22 runs respectively. For J&K, Javid Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets, while Aditya Chib and Zain-ul-Abudin bagged 2 wickets each and Owais Ahmed claimed one.
In reply, J&K collapsed at 69 runs in the first essay. Owais Ahmed top scored with 31 runs, while Qamran Iqbal and Javed Ahmed contributed 17 and 13 runs respectively. For Himachal Pradesh, SR Garg was the wrecker-in-chief, who bagged 7 wickets, while Shivam Sharma claimed 2 wickets.
Himachal Pradesh were 74/0 in their second essay at the draw of stumps today.
