JAMMU, Mar 28: Hotel wing of Sport club of Tawi Technical campus, Shahpur Kandi, Pathankot organized first Abhishek Memorial Cricket Tournament which commenced yesterday.
In all four teams are participating in the tournament. The first match was played between Hostel Super Kings and Hostel Royal Challengers and the match was inaugurated by Er Vidhi S Jamwal, chairman of Tawi Technical Campus (a unit of Jamwal group of Educational Institutions).
Hostel Royal Challengers Captain Vishvadeep Singh won the toss and elected to field. Batting first Hostel Super Kings scored 148 runs in 10 overs. Hostel Royal Challengers scored 97 runs all out.
Hostel Super Kings won by 51 runs under the captaincy of Shahjahan Ahmad. Murtza Iqbal of Hostel Super Kings was declared man of match for scoring 88 runs in just 26 balls (hitting 11 sixes and 3 fours).
Anuj Tidyal acted as match referee while Amandeep Singh and Ravi Kumar acted as umpires. Ashutosh Khujaria acted as scorer.
