Hiranagar girls, Kathua boys emerge winners in Volleyball Tourney

KATHUA, May 13: Hiranagar girls and Kathua boys thrashed their opponents and emerged winners in Inter-Zonal Volleyball Tournament (boys & girls), being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports at Government Women Degree College, here today.
In under 17 girls category, Hiranagar zone defeated Lakhanpur Zone by straight 2-0 sets and emerged winner, whereas, in under 14 boys category, Kathua Zone registered 2-1 sets win over Hiranagar Zone.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Yashpaul Sharma, Vice Principal of the College in presence of Dev Raj, Principal, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Khem Raj and Kewal Krishan, ZPEOs, Lalit Kumar Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Kalish Chander, Devinder Singh, Mohan Lal, etc.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of SK Chalotra, District Youth Services and Sports Officer.
