JAMMU, Nov 22: Hiranagar Hockey Club will take on Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Club Poonch in the finals of the ongoing 5th Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament 2019, being organized by Kashmir Sikh Sangat (KSS) under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here.
Earlier, n the second semifina, Banda Singh Bahadur Club Poonch defeated National Club Satwari by six goals to nil (6-0). From Banda Singh Bahadur Club, 1st, 2nd and 4th goals were scored by Matinder Pal Singh in 13th, 21st and 47th mintutes, while the 3rd goal was scored by Nai in 7th minute. The 5th goal was scored by Inderpreet Singh in 52nd minute and 6th goal was scored by Gurjot Singh in 59th minute.
S Jarnail Singh Raina, Executive Director Peaks Group was the chief guest on the occasion, while Babu Sigh and SS Bali were the guest of honour.
The match was officiated by Balmeet Singh, Angad Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Rohit Sharma, Vishal Verma, Anjali Thakur and GS Bakshi, Tournament Director.
The final will be played on November 24, 2019.
12 teams of Jammu Division participated in this tournament.
The Tournament is being conducted under the supervision of Tejwant Singh, President Kashmir Sikh Sangat, while Karamjit Singh is the Organizing Secretary.
