JAMMU, Feb 12: Hiranagar Hockey Club thrashed Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Club (MRSHC) Simbal Camp by six goals to nil (6-0) in the ongoing Senior Men’s Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
The players of Hiranagar Hockey Club dominated the game from the word go and succeeded in scoring 3 goals in the first half. The goal scorers were Abhinandan Singh in 3rd minute, Rohit Sharma in 8th minute and Amit Malhotra during 15th minute.
The team continued its dominance in the second half also and scored 3 more goals as Sandeep Singh pelted the ball inside the goal post in 37th minute, which was followed by back to back two goals by Rohit Sharma in 46th and 57th minutes of the match. Finally, Hiranagar Club won the match by (6-0).
The matches were officiated by Joginder Singh, Iqbal Singh, Manjeet Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh, G S Bakshi and MS Reen.
