JAMMU, Dec 5: Heritage School Jammu celebrated its outstanding academic achievers for the session 2024–25 with an elegant and inspiring ceremony that highlighted dedication, consistency and scholastic brilliance. Devayani Rana, MLA Nagrota Constituency, graced the occasion as the chief guest. A UCLA Economics alumna and a committed public leader, her presence added prestige to the event attended by Chairman Sunil Gupta, the Board of Trustees and proud parents.
The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana. Young Kathak dancers set a reverent tone, invoking the spirit of knowledge and learning.
A major highlight was the presentation of the Golden Crest Awards to 37 students who maintained 90% and above for three consecutive years from Class VI onwards. Principal and Vice Principal of the school conferred the honours, celebrating the students’ sustained academic commitment.
To further encourage excellence, Chairman Sunil Gupta presented cash awards of Rs 10,000 each in memory of the late Jia Lal Gupta to students who secured above 90% in the AISSE 2024–25 examinations.
The school band, Minstrels of Melody, delivered a vibrant musical performance before the prestigious Academic Blazers were awarded by the chief guest to Suhana Dubey, Jhanavi Raina, Pranwat Singh, Shreyas Magotra and Akshara Gupta for achieving 90% and above for four consecutive years from Classes VI to IX.
Rana also honoured Class XII toppers with medallions—Kripa Arora (Commerce – 97.2%), Sahira Mahajan (Science – 93.6%) and Akshita Choudhary (Humanities – 93.4%). The Best House Trophy for the Senior Wing was awarded to Culture House.
A colourful folk dance portraying Lathmar Holi infused festive energy into the event. In her address, Rana praised the school’s role in nation-building and urged students to stay consistent, humble and goal-oriented. The programme concluded with the Principal’s address, a heartfelt vote of thanks and the National Anthem, marking a proud celebration of achievement and tradition at Heritage School Jammu.
