JAMMU, Dec 10: Harmanjot Singh- a ninth class student of Jodhamal Public School (JPS) won ‘Best App Idea Award’ and awarded with ‘Best Theme Award Winner Trophy’ for his new remarkable Internet of Things (IoT) Application venture on healthcare in the first ever National Youth Ideathon- 2021 competition, held at Convocation Hall, IIT Delhi on November 20.
For this achievement, he has been awarded with trophy and cash prize of Rs 25,000 along with incubation and mentor support.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with CBSE and MEPSC (Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council) which comes under Skill India.
During the event, globally renowned venture capitalists and investors were present during the event and they offered him funding and scholarship for training in Silicon Valley, USA.
The Youth Ideathon was India’s largest K-12 school level Ideas festival to harness innovation and entrepreneurship potential amongst the young minds of India under the theme “Mera Idea Jo Badal De Bharat”.
He has innovated a novel wearable biomedical device, which integrates both embedded hardware and software technology using smart unobtrusive sensors, advanced machine learning algorithms and is controlled by a nano microchip.
The device is connected through wireless technology using the next gen Microchip ECC608 crypto chip to a cloud based mobile application developed by Harmanjot Singh which is already available on play store. The device aims for a social cause to uphold the mental wellness of the people.
