*Gets nod for Women IPL

SRINAGAR, Apr 27: Determination, devotion and sheer dint of hard work is the mantra for success in any field and at any level.
This was stated by Jammu and Kashmir’s ace cricketer Jasia Akhter on her selection for Women IPL to commence at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur in Rajasthan from May 6, 2019.
Jasia, who hails from a small village in Shopian district, has been named in one of the women IPL teams to be led by talented Indian cricketer Simriti Mandana.
Jasia said despite all odds she continued to play cricket and her selection in the IPL team was simply a ‘dream come true’ for her.
She said that people time and again stressed her to stop playing cricket for doing some job, but she continued playing the same as her father left no stone unturned in providing her the requisite facilities.
She attributed her success to her family, especially to her father, who had a great faith in her for blossoming at the higher levels.
She further said that thinking of her selection brings ecstatic feeling to her mind.
