UDHAMPUR, Feb 9: Three days Handball Championship, being organized by District Handball Association Udhampur was inaugurated today at Mini Stadium, here.
Ved Parkash, Principal Govt Higher Secondary School Udhampur was the chief guest on the inaugural function.
The championship is organized under the supervision of Ashok Kumar, President Handball Association Udhampur and Sh. Ravi Singh Jaswal, General Secretary.
Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Ajay Sharma, Rishi Sharma,Vikrant Balgotra, Pooja Sharma, Karun Magotra and Sourav Pandit.
The first match in women section wass played between Jaganoo Handball Club and Udhampur Handball club which was won by Jaganoo Club by (3-0), while in the second match, KC Club defeated APS Club by 6-5.
In men’s section, the first match was played between Parveen Handball Club Udhampur and JNV Jaganoo in which Parveen Handball Club Udhampur outplayed JNV Jaganoo by 15-06.
