JAMMU, Dec 1:  NN Vohra, Governor and Usha Vohra, First Lady, participated in the closing ceremony of Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Presentation Convent Sr. Secondary School, here today.
The Governor greeted and conveyed his good wishes to Principal Rosamma, the revered Sisters, teachers, staff and students on the joyous occasion of their Diamond Jubliee Celebrations. He complimented the students and Mr. Balwant Thakur, Director Natrang, for presenting “Udaan”, a dance drama performed by over 6oo girls of the School, which is based on the life of Nano Nagle who founded the School sixty years ago.
The Governor hoped that the Presentation Convent School would steadfastly sustain the cherished ideals of Nano Nagle in spreading the light of knowledge with the same zeal with which it has been serving the society for the past six decades. He complimented the several teachers and the staff who had served the School for over 25 years and were honoured for their dedication and hardwork, on this occasion.
Sr. Rosamma, Principal, presented the Welcome Address and Mrs. Nishima Srivastava, presented a formal Vote of Thanks.
Among the others present were Prof. R.D. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Rakesh K. Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Governor, parents, students and many other distinguished guests.
