JAMMU, Mar 3: The cricket tournament organized by Additional Spokesperson Jammu, Adv. Zeeshan Rana concluded today with Rising Spartans defeating Legal Star by 57 runs in the final.
The event was graced by Adv. Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Jammu, as the chief guest and Adv. Baldev Singh, Vice President of the Bar Association Jammu, as the guest of honour. Other prominent attendees included JKNC leaders Vijay Lochan (Chairman SC Cell), Tejinder Pal Singh Aman (Provincial President Jammu), Rakesh Singh Raka (Vice President Central Zone), Mohinder Kumar Rana (Joint Secretary Central Zone), and Sunil Sharma.
Gupta congratulated Rising Spartans on their performance and praised both teams for their sportsmanship. He emphasized the importance of such events in fostering unity and camaraderie within the legal community. He also raised concerns about the growing drug menace among the youth, urging the need to promote sports as a preventive measure against substance abuse. Gupta stressed that engaging youth in sports can foster discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle, steering them away from negative influences.
Gupta highlighted the NC’s commitment under the leadership of Omar Abdullah and Satish Sharma in organizing initiatives like Khelo India to encourage youth participation in sports.
