JAMMU, Mar 3: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal today chaired a meeting regarding Air Force Sports Mela to be held on March 22 at M. A. Stadium here.
Representatives from Air Force informed the Divisional Commissioner that this Sports Mela would be the first one organised in Jammu. It shall be a grand event with major attractions such as Para jumping by ‘Akash Ganga’ Air Force Sky Diving Team, Aero modeling display, drill display by Air Warriors, Symphony Orchestra, fly past by IAF helicopters, static display of special equipment by Guard Commandos, aero models, publicity stall, ‘Akash Ganga’, etc. they also informed that there would be free entry for the general public at the venue.
The Divisional Commissioner asked the concerned departments to work in tandem with the Air Force authorities to make the event a great success.
He also directed for making adequate arrangements for power and water supply, traffic management, security, sanitation etc.
Among others, the meeting was attended by DIG JKS Range, Ashkur A Wani, Director Colleges, T. A. Kawoos, ADDC, Jammu, Anuradha Gupta, Wg Cmdrs, B. Mishra, G Bamju, Vivek Singh, S Mohanty, M M Singh and Baljit Singh, SSP Security, Ramesh K Angral, SSP, Traffic, Mohan Lal and other officers from civil administration and Air Force.
