RAJOURI, Nov 21: Govt. Post Graduate College organized a mathematical quiz that was sponsored by the State Council for Science and Technology.
In the quiz competition, a total of five teams participated from various institutions viz, Himalayan Degree College Rajouri, GDC Thanamandi and Govt. Degree College of the district.
The programme was presided over by Dr. J. A. Qazi, the Principal of the College.
In his address, Dr. Qazi highlighted the significance of mathematics in day to day life. Dr. M. K. Waqar, Vice Principal & HoD Urdu also spoke on the occasion.
In the competition, Shikha Khajuria and Khushal Gupta of Himalayan Degree College bagged the 1st prize, the 2nd prize was bagged by Shayesta Lone and Meenakshi Sharma of Govt. P.G. College Rajouri while the 3rd prize was bagged by Akshay and Pramod of the same College.
Prof. Ghulam Abass, Head of Deptt. of Persian performed the duties of judgment.
Prof. Abdul Karim, Prof. Riaz Ahmed besides teaching and non-teaching staff members were present on the occasion.
The programme was conducted by Prof. Asif. Ajaz Lone, Staff Secretary of the College and vote of thanks was presented by Prof. (Dr.) Abdul Raouf, Head Department of Mathematics.
