Govt Polytechnic Jammu organises Online Quiz competition

JAMMU, May 20: Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu organized Online Quiz competition as a part of campaign ‘Defeat COVID-19’, here today.
The topics for the competition were Current Affairs, Inventions, Sports, General Knowledge, Famous Days & Dates, Country Capitals & Currency and Science & Technology.
Seventy five students of different departments participated in the competition.
The Quiz Masters were Shokat Ali, Lecturer Computer Engineering; Sanam Gupta, Lecturer Mechanical Engineering; Jasdeep Kaur, Lecturer Instrumentation and Deepak Gupta, Civil Engineering (Demonstrator). Online Quiz Portal was prepared by Quiz Masters and was shared 15 minutes prior to the Quiz in all the Departments WhatsApp Group of students.
A total of 50 questions were for students and the time allotted was 30 minutes after login.
After attempting all the questions, the answers were submitted for online evaluation.
The results were announced immediately after the Quiz was over.
The first position was secured by Rohit Kumar Attri of 2nd Semester, Civil Engineering Department with a score of 47 out of 50, while the second position was shared by five students scoring 46 each, including Akshit Gupta, 2nd Semester, Sahil Bhat, 6th Semester Computer Engineering, Ashish Balotra, Aftab Ahmed 6th Semester Electrical Engineering and Manik Sharma, 4th Semester Civil Engineering.
The 3rd position was bagged by five students with a score of 45 each. These students included Rishab Puri, 4th Semester Architecture, Parnab Dubey, Manoj Kapoor, 4th Semester Mechanical Engineering, Neha Manhas, 6th Semester Computer Engineering and Arun Kumar, 4th Semester Electrical Engineering.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the College appreciated the wholeheartedly participation of all the students in various competitions organised during lockdown.
He advised the students to stay at home and utilize their time in study and attend online classes.
Government Polytechnic Jammu is effectively conducting the Online class through Google Classrooms, Google Hangout, Zoom App, WhatsApp, GoMeeting and Youtube channels since lockdown for the Polytechnic students of all the semesters and branches,” Bangotra added.
