JAMMU, June 15: Gorkha Cricket Club defeated Kacha Talab Lions (KTL) by 39 runs in the final match of a Bahu Yuva Cricket Cup organized at Bahu Fort, here today.
Gorkha Cricket Club managed to score 115/6 in the stipulated 12 overs after batting first. While, chasing the target of 116 runs, Kacha Talab Lions were all out at the score of 76 runs.
Former Minister and Zonal President, JKNC, Babu RamPaul, was the chief guest on the occasion. He urged the present Government to open more doors for imparting sports training to youth for yielding positive results and desist them from the path of drug addiction.
He presented trophy to the winning team and emphasized the imperative need to hold such activities in future as well.
Former Member BCCI, Ankush Abrol appreciated both the teams for displaying excellent sportsmanship during the match. He also assured full support to the organizers for such initiatives.
Eight teams participated in the tournament which was organized under the overall supervision of Rupesh Raj and Sumeet.
