Gorkha CC thrashes Raja Warriors by 81 runs

JAMMU, June 25: Gorkha Cricket Club thrashed Raja Warriors Cricket Club by a big margin of 81 runs in the ongoing JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament, being held under the overall supervision Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA and Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission at various venues in Jammu division.
At Jammu, winning the toss and batting first, Gorkha Cricket Club scored 176 runs in 31.3 overs. Aditya top scored with 48 runs, while Rahul and Tushar contributed 27 and 25 runs respectively. From Raja Warriors, Aman and Jagdev Singh took 3 wickets eac, while Deepak claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Raja Warriors bundled out for 95 runs in 22.1 overs. Honey was the only batsman to show some resistance, scoring 31 runs. From Gorkha CC, Puneet Wattal and Rohit took 3 wickets each, while Rahul claimed one wicket.
At Bhaderwah, Tahir XI Bhala defeated Sharma XI by 4 wickets. Batting first, Sharma XI scored 173 runs in 25.2 overs, while in reply, Sharma XI chased the target in 27 overs by losing 6 wickets. Tahir was adjudged as the man of the match for bagging 6 wickets.
