JAMMU, July 29: GD Goenka Public School Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust held an activity for the Gandhi Peace Foundation on the famous ‘Dandi March’ which was initiated by the Father of Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in 1931 against the salt laws of the British Government.
This activity was prepared by the students of class VI. It started with a speech by ‘Vatsala’ on Dandi March.
After the speech, the students presented a small skit which emphasized the major events that led to Dandi March. The Skit had a deep impact on the children as it brought awareness about the Dandi March. The activity concluded with a wonderful dance presented by the students on the famous song ‘Bande mein tha dum, Vande Mataram’.
The whole activity had a deep meaningful impact on the young minds of the students.
