JAMMU, Jan 19: Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club (GNNHC) defeated Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Club (MRSHC), Simbal Camp by fve goals to nil (5-0) IN THE Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub Junior Hockey Tournament, being organised by Sheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here.
Manpreet Singh and Vikram Singh scored 2 goals each for GNNHC, while Shahid Rashid netted one goal. The first goal was scored by Shahid in 9th minute, while the second and 4th were netted by Manpreet in 13th and 35th minute and the 3rd and 5th goals were netted by Vikram in 26th and 40th minutes.
The matches were officiated by Charanjeet Singh, Joginder Singh, Jagjeet Singh and MS Reen, while GS Bakshi, general secretary Hockey J&K, Jaspreet Singh and Mohd Amin were present on the occasion.
Dr Rajnesh Chander Sahrma, vice president Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hockey Foundation was the chief guest on the occasion, while Taran Singh was the guest of honour.
