GMCEJ organizes Seminar on ‘Is Technology Dehumanizing Society’

JAMMU, Mar 13: Gandhi Memorial College of Education organized a one day National Seminar on the topic, “Is Technology Dehumanizing Society (GMCEJ)”, here today.
Eminent educationists, Professors of various colleges largely formed the participants and audience along with staff and students of GMCEJ.
The seminar included deliberations in the present perspective of society.
The Programme started with lighting of the traditional lamp, followed by Saraswati Vandana by students.
Prof Satish Talashi, Principal GMCEJ presented welcome address, which was followed by a PowerPoint Presentation by Randeep Kher.
Dr PL Trisal, Ex H.o.D of Hindi Linguistics was the chief guest and also chaired the various sessions.
AK Raina (Member Education HESK), Ashwani Kumar (Member EB HESK), MK Jalali (Member EB HESK), Prof GL Koul (Member EB HESK), Prof SK Bhat and Prof HL Misri were among the prominent people present at the occasion.
AK Raina in his address threw light on the pros and cons of technology in the present scenario.
Prominent among others who spoke was Prof HL Misri, Prof GL Koul and Dr PL Trisal.
Various papers were presented by Prof Suman Devi, Prof HK Kitchloo, Prof Seema Mattoo, Prof Amrita Bhat, Dr Taranjeet Kour, Prof  Neelu Sharma, Prof Usha Bhat and Nishta Rana from MIER, GMCEJ, National College of Education, Sai Sham College of Education and KC College of Education.
Paper presentation was followed by the interactive session in which all the papers presented were taken up by Dr PL Trisal and the question, answers put by audience made the proceedings interesting.
The programme ended with the presentation of mementoes to the dignitaries and the participants.
