JAMMU, Nov 18: Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Sunjwan won the Inter-State Volleyball Tournament by defeating GHSS, Bahu Fort in the final match played at the playground of GHSS, Bahu Fort, Jammu.
The Tournament was organized under Civic Action Programme by IRP 10th Battalion headquartered at DPL Jammu under the aegis of J&K Police.
12 teams of various schools participated in the tournament which commenced on November 17.
Shafqat Ali Watali, IGP AP/IR JZ Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. Vijay Kumar, Commandant IRP 10th Bn Jammu, Sham Sunder Sharma, SSP APCR Jammu and RG Dogra, principal, GHHS Bahu Fort, were also present.
The chief guest awarded trophy to the winner team and distributed individual prizes among the players for best performances. While addressing the gathering, the chief guest assured the students that such kind of programmes will continue in future to inculcate and enhance the sports activates among the student fraternity.
