JAMMU, Oct 3: To explore inherent talent of the students and provide them opportunity to their skill, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Anand Nagar, Bohri, organized an Inter-House Quiz Competition in the School premises, here today.
The Quiz was based on the questions from Science, Mathematics, Social Science and English, besides the questions related to Gandhi Jayanti.
The four rounds and a special round of questions were delivered by the Subject Teachers (Quiz Masters) including Sangeeta Kachroo, Ravi Raj, Kumari Ragni and Sushima Pandita.
After rigorous mental exercise of five rounds, the adjudicators of the event-R L Bhat and Suresh Pandita declared the winners of the Competition.
Nehru House comprising of the students Bharti Bhat, Saksham Koul, Vaishali Sangral and Vaishali Rani was declared first, while Raman House including Abhishek, Tania Mantoo, Rahul Gandhi got second position and the third place was bagged by Tagore House including Lalita Kumari, Robin Raina, Mohit and Anmol. Gandhi House comprising of the students namely Simran Koul, Priya Koul, Mamta and Sahil was given consolation prize.
Lecturer Economics, Sunil Dass and Master Sanjay Jotshi were the scorekeeper and observer of the event.
Finally, the winners were felicitated by the Principal of the School, Ramesh Kumar Hakim, who while speaking on the occasion lavished praise on the organizers and lauded the efforts of the students for their brilliant performances.
He said that the objective of holding the event was to churn the knowledge of the students as also teachers of the School, adding that the School is committed to provide quality education to the students.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Daizy Rani, Senior Lecturer Botany and Rajesh Dhar, Lecturer Physical Education.
