JAMMU, Oct 28: Inter-Collegiate Basketball (Men &Women) tournaments hosted by GCOE and organized by Cluster University of Jammu at MA Stadium, here today.
Dr. Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar Cluster University of Jammu was the Chief Guest and Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Sports, CLUJ and Physical Director GGM Science College Jammu was the guest of honour on the occasion.
The tournament was organized under the overall supervision of Dr. Vinod Bakshi Director Sports, CLUJ and Ramandeep Kralia, Physical Director GCOE Jammu.
In the Men’s section GGM Science College won the title by a huge margin of 45-17 points by defeating Govt. MAM College. Anikat Chib & Yuvraj Singh of GGM Science College played well and scored 20 & 12 points respectively. Aditya Manhas & Aman Manhas of Govt. MAM College also played well and contributed 19 & 10 points respectively for Govt. MAM College.
In Women’s section GCW Gandhi Nagar College won the title by defeating SPMR College of Commerce by 6-4 points. Simran Pawar of GCW Gandhi Nagar played an excellent game and scored four points.
Prof. Deep, GCOE Jammu, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Dr. Roopali Slathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu, and Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director Govt. MAM College Jammu were among the various dignitaries present during the occasion. The match was officiated by Amit Kalsi, Vineet Pangotra, Rajesh Bandral and Mansi Verma.
