GGM Science College lifts Yuvtarang 2019

JAMMU, Nov 14: Yuvtarang 2019 the Mega Literary and Cultural festival organised by Office of Dean Students Welfare CLUJ concluded at the Auditorium of GCW Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Prof Anju Bhasin, Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu appreciated the strenuous efforts of the students and faculty in making the event a grand success.
Dr. Jatinder Khajuria Registrar, CLUJ also graced the prize distribution ceremony and exhorted that the contest was a platform for the students to hone their literary and artistic skills and bring laurels to the University.
Dr Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare formally welcomed the guests and highlighted that the essence of the contest was to showcase the multiple talents of the young learners in diverse arenas. She also added that Yuvtarang spread into three Categories : Sahitayam (Literati), Sanrachna (Creative and Fine Arts) and Kalanjali (Performing Arts) in which 30 events were hosted at all the Constituent Colleges of Cluster University of Jammu.
Prof Ravinder Tickoo, Prof Koushal Samotra, Prof Anil Gupta, Prof Nallini Pathania Principals of the Constituent Colleges, Dr Bhopinder Singh, Dr Geetanjali A. Rana, Deans of faculties, Coordinators of different disciplines and wings, Conveners and members of Cultural Committees of all the Constituent Colleges and PGI Schools also graced the prize distribution ceremony.
The contest was coordinated by Associate Deans – Prof Sunil Uppal, Dr Banpreet Kour and Assistant Deans-Prof Devinder K. Sharma, Dr Geetanjli Rajput, Dr Maansi Sharma, Prof Shamim, Dr Davinder Kour.
In the Individual category Akshat Padha of GGM Science College won the Best Performer Trophy in Saahitayam (Literati), Tamanna Sharma of GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu won the trophy of Best Artist in Sanrachna (Creative and Fine Arts) , Priya Sharma won the Best Artist Trophy in Rangmanch (Theatre), Shivani Nazir of GCW Gandhi Nagar won the Best Perfomer Trophy in Nritya (Dance), Karuna Majotra of MAM College won the Best performer Trophy in Gaayan Vaadan (Music) and Ankit Sharma of GGM Science College won the Best Individual Performer. In the Group Category GCW Gandhi Nagar won the Best Performance Trophy in Saahitayam (Literary Activities), School of Humanities and Liberal Arts ,CLUJ won the Trophy of Best Performance in Sanrachna (Creative and Fine Arts), GCW Gandhi Nagar won the Best Performance in Nritya (Dance) and GGM Science College lifted the Rangkarmi (Theatre) Trophy . GCW Gandhi Nagar bagged the Runners Up “Uttam” Rolling Trophy while GGM Science College lifted the “Sarvottam” Winners Trophy of Yuvtarang 2019.
The Result Compilation Committee included Prof Shally Gupta, Prof Pankaj Bhandoria, Dr Renu Rajput, Dr Jaswinder Singh.
Prof Kuldeep Raina and Prof Revika Arora conducted the proceedings of the event.
Prof Archana Kaul, Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee presented the vote of thanks.
