St Xavier outplays Oriental Academy by 43 runs

JAMMU, Nov 14: St Xavier International School Barnai outplayed Oriental Academy Afghana Mohalla Jammu by 43 runs in the Healthy is Wealthy 30 Over Under-16 School Cricket Tournament, being organised by the Country Cricket Club and Project Model Higher Secondary School at Country Cricket ground, Gharota, near here.
Put into bat, St Xavier scored 166 runs in 30 overs. Vasu top scored with 56 runs, while Rajat and Harshit Bhat contributed 20 and 10 runs respectively. Ashfaq and Sadiq bagged 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Izan, Sameer and Afan claimed one wicket each.
In response to a total of 166, Oriental Academy scored 123 runs to lose the match by 43 runs. Kazim, Ezan and sameer scored 21, 20 and 19 runs to the total respectively. Ashfaq made 18 runs.  Rajat and Harshit took 3 wickets each, while Vasu took 2 and Pragun claimed 1 wicket. Vasu was declared as the man of the match.
The Medical officer PHC Gharota Aditi Sharma was the guest of honour.
The teams were facilitated by the officiating team of Sanjay Kumar, Kashish Abrol and Garu Ram.
