JAMMU, July 13: Govt Degree College Paloura and Khour organised online slogan writing and quiz competition for 6th semester students to make them familiar with the recently announced MCQs pattern of examination by University of Jammu.
Department of Mathematics, GDC Khour today organized an online inter-collegiate quiz competition in which 30 students from various colleges and universities across J&K (UT) participated in the contest in which 15 students qualified the contest by securing more than 65% marks.
First position was shared by Sudha Choudhary, Maansi and Nishma Jamwal of GDC RS Pura, Mehak Sharma of Central University of Jammu, Shafqat Shabir and Mohd Shafit of GDC Thannamandi, Osman Sadiq Malik and Imtiyaz Ahmed of GDC Paloura (Mishriwala) by securing 100% marks.
Shivani Sharma of GDC Khour and Amit Kumar of GDC RS Pura shared 2nd position by securing 98 percent marks while Faisal Nazeer of GDC Tang Marg Baramulla secured 3rd position.
The event was organized by Prof Surinder Sharma, HoD Mathematics under the supervision of Prof Hans Raj, Principal of the College.
Government Degree College Paloura (Mishriwala) organised ‘Inter-college Online Slogan Writing Competition’ on the occasion of “World Population Day” under the patronage of Prof Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the College.
She appreciated the efforts of the organising team and encouraged the faculty members to organise more such events for the benefit of the student community. Prof Narayan Dutt was the convener of the competition. The event was organised by Dr Sanjay Kapoor (Assistant Professor Chemistry), NSS Programme Officer and Prof Moni Mehra (Assistant Professor English).
The entries were adjudged by Dr Seema Arora, Associate Professor English, GCW Gandhi Nagar and Dr Sonia Khajuria, Associate Professor English, GCW Parade Jammu.
Sonika Bhat of GDC Paloura secured first position, Gurpreet Kour of Govt. MAM College got second position whereas Amisha of GCW Gandhinagar bagged third position. E-certificates were given to the winners.
