JAMMU, Oct 15: Government Degree College (GDC,) Udhampur and MIET registered victories over their rivals to advance in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Football Tournament, being organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, here.
GDC Udhampur defeated GDC Samba by (1-0) goals. Shivansh scored the lone goal for GDC Udhampur in 70th minute of the match.
In another match, MIET Jammu defeated GDC Poonch by (3-0). The 1st goal was scored by Qasim n 18th minute, while the 2nd and 3rd goal was scored by Dheeraj in 40th and 55th minutes respectively.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Rahul Sharma, Dheeraj Menia, Dil Bahadur, Rahul Ghai, Ajay Singh and Gagan Kumar.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Jasbir Singh, Balbir Chib, Vikram Jamwal, Ravi Sharma, Sanjeev Jamwal, Vinay Manhas, Shashi Kumar and Raj Kumar.
