5th Edition of Governor’s Silver Rolling Volleyball C’ship

UDHAMPUR, Sept 15: Hosts Government Degree College Udhampur outperformed GGM Science College in the semifinal to seal berth for finals against GDC Kathua in the ongoing Governor’s Silver Rolling Volleyball Championship-2019, being held at Government Degree College, here.
In a tough contest, GDC Udhampur defeated GGM Science College by 3-2, while GDC Kathua registered an easy win over defending champion GDC Hiranagar by 3-1.
Earlier, in men’s quarterfinals, GDC Udhampur drubbed GDC Ramnagar (2-0), GDC Kathua defeated GDC Banihal (2-1), GDC Hiranagar got the better of GDC Poonch (2-1) and GGM Science College trounced GDC Reasi (2-0).
In women’s section, GCW Parade beat GDC Ramnagar (2-0) in the first semifinal, while GCW Gandhinagar defeated GDC Neeli Nallah (2-0) in the 2nd semifinal.
The matches were officiated by Amit Sharma, Sanjeev Verma, Sanjay Sharma, Ajeet Singh, Pawan Kumar, Kuldeep Sharma, Pushp Sharma, Kulbushan Kumar, Shashi Sharma, Manik Nargotra and Rakesh Sharma.
