BILLAWAR, Jan 12: Red Ribbon Club of the Government Degree College Billawar organised a symposium on the eve of National Youth Day on the topic ‘Role of Youth in AIDS Awareness’, here today.
Prof Sanjeev Gupta presided over the function.
A good number of students participated in the symposium and threw light on the various ways the youth can contribute in disseminating awareness on AIDS.
The performance of the students was adjudged by the jury comprising of Prof Joginder Kumar, Lecturer Rupali Gupta and Lecturer Sunita on the basis of the content, pronunciation and presentation.
Arti of Semester-I was adjudged first, Yasmine of BA Part-III and Mohd Bilal of Semester-I stood second and third respectively. Consolation prize was given to Manisha of BA Part-III.
Prof Amit Kumar Sharma, in-charge Red Ribbon Club exhorted upon the students to spread the awareness about the AIDS among the masses.
Prof Joginder Kumar announced the result and presented vote of thanks.
