GDC Bhaderwah holds trekking expedition

BHADERWAH, Sept 26: Institution Innovation Council of Government Degree College of Bhaderwah in collaboration with Forest Department Bhadaerwah organized a one day trekking activity from Chattergalla to Thanthara (12 km span) under the aegis of Principal GDC Bhaderwah, Dr Kuldeep Kumar Sharma.
A total of 27 students along with six staff members participated in the event. Dr Neeraj Sharma of Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu elaborated about the important flora and fauna of that area.
Chander Shekhar, DFO Bhaderwah informed the students about the importance of plants and their conservation. He talked about the Northern and Southern aspect effect on the diversity and density of plant communities.
Dr Sandeep Kotwal, Assistant Professor Botany and Coordinator Institution Innovation Council expressed his views about the 17 Sustainable Goals of the United Nations and how we can achieve them for the Development of a region and Nation. A total of 20 forest officials also participated in the trekking activity and provided help, served refreshment and protection to the participants from any possible risk of predator of that track.
