GD Goenka organises informative session on ‘Prevailing Perils of Society’

JAMMU, Sept 7: GD Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust organised an informative and thought provoking session on the prevailing perils of the society such as Drug abuse, Road Accidents, cyber crimes and safety of girl child and the session was allocated by SP Rural, Arun Gupta.
Mr. Gupta (SP Rural) while apprising the students of Drug Abuse, discussed the reasons of falling prey to the vicious circle of addiction. He further talked about the repercussions and advised the students for being more watchful and vigilant so that they don’t get trapped by the pedlars and always keep it in their subconscious mind irrespective of all the challenges.
In his succeeding address, Mr. Arun counselled the students about road safety and directed everyone present in the session to follow the safety rules. He augmented that only licence bearers are allowed to drive.
He further alerted the students to be more observant so that they do not fall prey to cyber crimes.
Moreover he discussed about the safety of girl child and laws imposed by Honourable Supreme court. He persuaded the young pupils to behave as responsible citizens and convey their dissent towards any case of eve teasing. The speech ended with the interaction among the students and resource person.
