Inter-school DYSS competitions of Jammu District

JAMMU, July 23: The under-19 boys Table Tennis title was bagged by GD Goenka School in the ongoing inter-school competitions of district Jammu, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at different venues, here today.
In the final, GD Goenka beat Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu 3-1. Earlier, in the semifinals, GD Goenka beat KC International School by 3-0 and DPS Jammu trounced Jodhamal School by 3-2.
FOOTBALL: In the football, the organisers had a tough time to meet the schedule of matches at GGM Science College in under-14 boys’ category. As many as four matches were decided today. The Results:
Khuda Baksh School beat KC International by 4-3 via tie breaker; KC Public School defeated New Brilliant School by 3-0; MHAC Nagbani beat APS Kaluchak by 3-1 via tie breaker; Jodhamal School Beat Shiksha Niketan by 3-0.
HOCKEY: Three matches took place in under-14 hockey at K K Hakhu Stadium. The Results: Combined School beat Cybernetics by 3-0; Govt HS Gole Gujral beat SOS School by 3-0; APS Miran Sahab beat Combined School by 2-1.
BADMINTON: Army Public School (APS) Kaluchak won the boys under-19 Badminton final beating Government SRML HSS Jammu by 2-0 in the final.
Semifinals: SRML HSS bt RMPS by 2-0; APS Kaluchak bt APS Ratnuchak 2-0.
BOXING: In under-19 girls boxing title in 51-54 kg weight group went to Ananya Choudhary of Shikhsa Niketan HSS.
