JAMMU, Feb 3: Government College for Women (GCW) Parade bagged the overall championship trophy obtaining highest 40 points in the inter-college women’s Wrestling competition held on the University of Jammu (JU) campus, here.
The overall second place went to Government Degree College (GDC) Khour with 27 points earned in the day-long competition.
Among those present during the prize distribution function were Director Sports, JU, Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Suman Lata, Sonu Kumari, Suresh Kumar, Sanjeev Jamwal and Vikram Jamwal, Gagan Kumar, Sanjay Verma and Raj Kumar Bakshi.
The bouts were officiated by the technical penal including Jai Bharat, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Ravinder Sharma, Dr Kamal Sharma, Dheeraj Sharma and PD Singh.
The Results: 50 Kg: Manisha Kumari (GCW, Parade), Ist; Radika Sharma (GDC, Khour), 2nd; Madhu Devi (GDC, Jindrah) and Taruna Pangotra (GDC, Samba), joint 3rd. 53 Kg: Roshani Devi (GCW Parade), Ist; Ramsah Bibi (GDC, Jindrah), 2nd; Meena Kumari (GDC Paloura) and Anjali Singh Bhau (GDC Khour), joint 3rd.
55 Kg: Nitika Sharma (GCW Parade), Ist; Priya Devi (GDC Khour), 2nd and Manisha Kumari (GDC, Samba), 3rd. 57 Kg: Vishali Kundal (GDC, Samba), Ist; Muskan Rajput (GCW Parade), 2nd and Monika Sharma (GDC Khour), 3rd.
59 Kg: Stanzin Namdol (GDC, Paloura), Ist and Samriti Sharma (GCW, Parade), 2nd. 62 Kg: Gulshan Bibi (GCW Parade), Ist; Nargis Akhter (GDC Jindrah), 2nd; Khushi Devi (GDC Samba) and Bharti Devi (GDC Kour), joint 3rd. 65 Kg: Sonia Sharma (GDC Khour), Ist; Riya (GCW, Parade), 2nd and Anita Devi (GDC, Samba), 3rd. 69 Kg: Sunita Devi (GDC Khour), Ist and Lakshika (GCW Parade), 2nd. 72 Kg: Kusum (GCW Parade), Ist and Bharti Verma (GDC Khour), 2nd. 76 Kg: Shivam Sharma (GDC Khour), Ist and Mansi Dogra (GCW Parade), 2nd.
