JAMMU, Oct 8: Defending champion GCW Gandhi Nagar once again showed its supremacy and clinched the title by defeating GCW Parade by (3-0) sets with set scores of 25-12, 25-10 and 25-15 in the ongoing Inter Collegiate Volleyball (W) Tournament 2015-16 organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at Varsity Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, IN semifinals, GCW Parade beat GDC Samba by 2-0 sets (25-18, 26-24 and GCW Gandhi Nagar beat GDC Ramnagar by 2-1 sets (25-23, 17-25, 15-11).
Prof. Anita Sudan, Principal Govt MAM College Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who presented the trophy to the winners and Prof. Dhian S Bhau presided over the function.
Among others present at the venue were Sumnesh Sharma, Suman Sharma, Kuldeep Magotra, HS Gill, Romesh Sharma, Dr. Brij Baloria, Ravish Vaid, Raj Kumar Bakshi and Jai Bharat.
The tournament was organized under the direct supervision of Prof. Dhian S. Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu.
The matches were officiated by Mulkh Raj, Mammohan Sharma, Manu Singh, and Pushap Thakur under the supervision of event Incharge, Vikas Karlopia, Volleyball Coach, University of Jammu.
