PULAU PINANG (MALAYSIA), May 15: Feroze Singh Garewal was the best-placed Indian at Tied-21st while Samarth Dwivedi ended Tied-26th at the PGM Bukit Jawi Championship here.
Malaysia’s Danny Chia fired a flawless five-under 67 to successfully retain the title.
Garewal, Tied-12 after three rounds, shot 73 in the final round and fell to T-26, while Dwivedi carded his best of the week at 69 and moved to T-26.
At the top, Chia’s winning total of 18-under 270 saw him sign off his campaign at the RM200,000 (approximately USD 46,000) Asian Development Tour (ADT) event with a comfortable five-shot victory over compatriots Gavin Green and Ben Leong at the Bukit Jawi Golf Resorts.
Green, who led the ADT event after the first two rounds, posted a 71 to share second place with Leong, who closed with a 69. (PTI)
