Gani lifts 113th Bani Dangal title

KATRA, June 3: 113th Annual Bani historic and mega wrestling event was organized by Manwal Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Balwant Raj.
62 bouts were played in the one day long vishal dangal where wrestlers from Delhi, Harayana, U.P, Punjab, Chandigarh, and J&K participated.
MLA Ramnagar, RS Pathania was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away cash prizes to the wrestlers. Shiv Kumar Sharma presided over the function. Senior BJP Leader Nand Kishore Sharma was the guest of honour.
The first main bout was fought between Wrestler Abdul Gani of Mallerkotla and Varun Gujar of Railways of Delhi. This bout was won by Gani that was lasted for 26 minutes. Gani was awarded with cash prize of Rs 61,000, while the runners-up wrestler Varun got Rs 40,000. Prizes were given by R.S. Pathiana, Nand Kishore, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Balwant Raj.
