POONCH, Oct 1: In connection with the  Gandhi Mandela cricket series, a T-10 Tennis Ball Cricket match in Under-16 category for under privileged boys was played at Degree College ground, here at Poonch which was played between Poonch cricket Club and YCC Junior in which Poonch Cricket Club overpowered YCC Junior by 23 runs.
The match was organized by Gandhi Global Family in collaboration with United Nation information centre New Delhi and was dedicated to former Minister Mohd. Din Bandey. Dy. Chairman legislative Council Jahangir Hussain Mir was the chief guest on the occasion while DDC Poonch N.A Wani presided over the function. SSP Poonch J.S Johar was special guest on the occasion.
The chief guest, while speaking on the occasion shed a light on the life of former Minister Mohd. Din Bandey. He described him as a political ideologue and visionary politician of the State.
Those who were present on the occasion included Advocate Sanjay Raina, K.K kapoor, Narinder Mohan Suri, Riyasat Khan, Mushatq Choudhary, Qayoom Choudhary and Nisar Ahmed.
On the occasion the family of Mr Bandey was also present.
The vote of thanks was presented by Er Saleem Bandey, chairman of the organizing committee.
