Ganderbal sports festival concludes

SRINAGAR, Jan 9: The closing ceremony of Ganderbal Sports Festival which was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police under its civic action Program was held today in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The closing ceremony of the festival was witnessed by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Central Kashmir, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, the chief guest of the occasion and other police officials.
On the occasion, DIG said that these sports festivals are organized to explore the talent of youth of the state. Jammu and Kashmir Police is trying to boost the morale of talented youths and to channelize the talent to the international level.
On the closing ceremony, two matches of Tug of War and Kabbadi were played. Tug of War was played between Navodian Tigers and Degree College Ganderbal while the Kabbadi match was played between Kabbadi Academy Ganderbal and Navodian Tigers.
The sports festival was inaugurated by the DIG at Sainik School Manasbal. Games including Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Martial Arts and Cricket were also played during the festival.
