Game Changers, Amigos SC register wins in Police Martyrs Tourney

KATHUA, Dec 30: Game Changers Jammu defeated Life Care Lucknow by 1 wicket, while Amigos Sports Club Panipat trounced JKP-XI by 9 wickets in the ongoing 11th Police Martyr’s Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the first match, Game Changers Jammu won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Life Care Lucknow gave the target of 92 runs by losing all wickets in 18.4 overs. Lakshay Dalal scored 32 runs, while Shubam made 15 runs. In reply, Game Changers easily chased the given target in 19.5 overs in which Govind scored 29 runs and registered 1 wicket win over the opponent team. Jeevesh Gupta was declared as man of the match for his outstanding bowling wherein he took 3 wickets.
In 2nd match, JKP Kathua team won the toss and chose to bat first and made 97 runs with the loss of 7 wickets. Shiv Dutt scored 26 runs and Surjeet contributed 19. In reply, Amigos Sports Club Panipat chased the set target in 9.1 overs by losing 1 wicket and registered 9 wickets win over JKP-XI. Sahil scored 41 runs and Somvir contributed 35. Sahil was announced as man of the match for his splendid batting and bowling.
