JAMMU, Feb 13: Ace cricket coach, Atul Gaikwad is all set to visit Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) soon and will be conducting a high level coaching clinic for the academy’s senior players to bestow important tips to them.
In addition, he will also be conducting camp for intermediate players, besides exploring talent at the bud by conducting basic beginners’ level camp.
Dr Atul Gaikwad is one of the most sort after coaches in the country and is constantly on assignments in countries like Singapore and Dubai.
Atul Gaikwad is a Level Three coach from the National Cricket Academy’s (NCA) first batch that passed out close to 14 years ago. Apart from being a Level 3 NCA coach, Gaikwad – who hails from Pune – has done the same Level 3 coaching at Cricket Australia’s Centre of Excellence in Brisbane too. That aside, he holds a PhD in biomechanics, cricket bowling and performance psychology – privileges that he’s not very vocal about.
“Atul has an exclusive deal with the academy where he will oversee the development of young cricketers and will be visiting at least 2 to 3 times a year,” a handout issued here by the Academy said.
