Friends XI Nagri wins JKCA Kathua District Tournament

KATHUA, July 20: Defeating Rising Star Nagri by a big margin of 150 runs in the summit clash, Friends XI Nagri lifted the title trophy of the JKCA Kathua District Cricket Tournament, which concluded here today.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) JKCA, Syed Aashiq Hussain Bukhari was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sridhar Patil, SSP Kathua was the guest of honour, who later-on distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Friends XI Nagri scored a good total of 250 runs in 37.1 overs. Lucky top scored with 85 runs, while Pankaj Ladda contributed 41 runs to the total. From Rising Star, Avinash Puri took 3 wickets, while Sahil claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Rising Star bundled out for paltry total of 100 runs in 26.4 overs, thus lost the match by 150 runs. Rishav scored 40 runs, while Acinash Puri contributed 31 runs to the total. From Friends XI Nagri, Kushal took 3 wickets and Vidhu claimed 2 wickets. Lucky was declared as the man of the match for his superb batting display.
The match was officiated by Sourav Sharma Jatinder Andotra and Kulbushan Singh.
