SRINAGAR, Oct 16: J&K Forest XI defeated J&K Bank ‘A’ by a solitary goal to advance in the ongoing J&K Bank Football League Tournament 2012, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, here.
Earlier, J&K Forest team players played as a cohesive unit and made early moves to help them score a goal in 7th minute of the match. Mansoor was the goal scorer for the Forest team. Both the teams attacked and counter attacked but failed to score till the end of the game, so J&K Forest XI won the match by one goal to nil (1-0).
In another match played today, Arfat Sports registered a narrow win over Rahim Green Solina by a solitary goal. Imran was the goal scorer for Arafat sports, who netted it in 59th minute of the match.
In tomorrow’s semifinal matches of ‘A’ Division, J&K Bank ‘B’ will face J&K Police ‘B’, while Young Lal Chowk will meet J&K PDC ‘B’.
