Forest Deptt shines in All India Forest meet

JAMMU, Mar 14: J&K Forest Department excelled in the 26th All India Sports Meet by securing five Gold medals, three Silver and six Bronze medals, organized at Panchkula in Haryana.
Gold medals were secured in Billiards, Snooker, Weightlifting, Chess and Cultural, while Silver medals were won in Table Tennis, Senior Veteran Table Tennis and Cricket and Bronze medals were secured in Swimming, Discus Throw, Table Tennis Senior Veteran, Table Tennis Veteran Single, Weightlifting and Powerlifting Senior Veteran.
The efforts of the players were lauded by their officers including Samuel Changkija (IFS) Nodal Officer and Dr. M Kumar (IFS), Regional Wildlife Warden during the sports meet.
