POONCH, Sept 9: Hockey and football matches were played on the concluding day today during the ongoing Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) tournament at block level in Poonch.
The matches were organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the overall supervision of ZPEOs of the three participating zones.
In hockey, Kanuyian zone beat Nangali zone by 2-1 goals, while in hockey finals, Poonch zone defeated Kanuyian zone by 3-0 goals.
In football finals, Poonch zone defeated Kanuyian zone by 2-1 goals, while in the1st match, Poonch zone beat Nangali zone by 1-0 goal.
Prof Jasbir Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sham Lal Sharma, retired SAI hockey coach, Nirdosh Kumar and Ravinder Singh.
The matches were officiated by Narjeet Singh ZPEO, Satinderpal Singh,Vijay Kumar, Gurmeet Singh, Sarla Rani and Damanpreet Singh.
